I’ve compiled a list of must-have travel accessories from items I’ve purchased over the years. These are all items you can find on Amazon and I continue to update the list as I discover new things!
Pill organizer (8 compartments): https://amzn.to/4gDrmrb
This pill organizer comes in handy when traveling – you can fit up to 8 different over-the-counter or prescription medications. It even comes with little stickers that you can use to label each compartment!
Fast portable charger (USB-C): https://amzn.to/4gKbKlK
This fast charger is a lifesaver! It comes with a cord to charge it up, but no cord is needed to charge your phone. You just pop it on and it charges while you keep watching Netflix!
Phone holder mount: https://amzn.to/4ejnnOR
Some airplanes don’t have the right size or angle of phone mount on the back of the seat in front of you… and some don’t have one at all! This device solves it for you so you don’t have to hold your phone awkwardly for hours to watch a show.
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite: https://amzn.to/3VWBP8p
This Kindle has 16 GB of storage (which is a lot- but there is also one with 32 GB if you need even more space) and I’ve found that the battery lasts a long time, even if you’re reading for almost a full 10-hour flight! I love having a Kindle when I travel because it’s more like a book than my phone but without the added weight of trying to pack several actual books. Amazon will also give you a credit for your old Kindle towards a new one if you trade it in!
Amazon Kindle case: https://a.co/d/48hIsEm
If you have a Kindle for reading on the plane, this magnetic stand case comes in handy. It stays closed to protect the Kindle when you throw it in your bag, and when you’re using it, you can prop it up on your tray table for hands-free reading.
Refillable perfume atomizer: https://amzn.to/4dnf8Am
I bought these for myself, but my husband ended up using them for his colognes instead. They are easy to fill and fit perfectly into your travel toiletries bag! No more having to check a bag just to bring your favorite bottle of perfume.
Liquid I.V. (with energy): https://a.co/d/eGytIFX
You know that staying hydrated when you travel is key (especially if you had a few too many the night before!) and this one includes 100 mg of caffeine, too. I personally like the Yuzu Pineapple flavor the best!
Clear toiletries bag (set of 2): https://amzn.to/3N6CBuR
I actually don’t use these as toiletries bags, although I could. I use them in my backpack or large purse when I travel to keep all my gadgets and cords in one place. It’s perfect for storing basically all the things I listed above plus my charger!
Hanging toiletries bag: https://amzn.to/4gZMOa6
I found my hanging toiletry bag at TJ Maxx, but this is a very similar design to the one I use. I love that it has different compartments so you can fit all of your shower essentials, makeup, etc. and stay organized.
International travel adapter: https://amzn.to/3BpqaYr
You’ll definitely need a couple of these for your international trip! This brand has options for different countries, so just check to see which one you need based on where you’re traveling. We used the “US to Europe” one when we went to Italy and Greece, and I used it again when I went to France and Spain.
Mini belt bag (Lululemon dupe?): https://amzn.to/47M1F3B
This belt bag is great because it fits the necessities inside, plus it has a super secret zipper compartment on the back of it for your cash and cards. You can wear it around the waist or cross-body and it comes in a bunch of different colors. I used it everywhere when we went on our European cruise!
Adidas Women’s Cloudfoam sneakers: https://amzn.to/47IePP6
These sneakers are super comfortable, great for walking for hours (especially when you’re not used to doing that!) and didn’t give me blisters at all, even when they were brand new. They are also breathable so your feet don’t get super sweaty.
Ring Indoor Cam: https://amzn.to/4f5UE07
I use my indoor Ring cameras to check in on my dogs when I’m traveling. In addition to having a great dog and house sitter, it helps to give me peace of mind that I can check on them any time and see how they are doing.
Pro Tip: Be sure to let your pet care providers and/or house sitters know that you have cameras and where they are located within your home. They should appreciate you telling them and not have any concerns about there being cameras – if they are upset, that’s a red flag!
Scratch-off travel map: https://amzn.to/4doAtck
Ok, so you don’t need this one during your trip, but you’ll definitely want to have it after! Once I started traveling to new countries, I wanted to be able to remember all the awesome new places I’d been. This map is fun because you get to scratch off all the places you’ve been and hang it on your wall!
Travel keepsake shadow box: https://amzn.to/3U79J9w
I hate to throw away cute museum ticket stubs and other mementos from my travel, but I also didn’t have anywhere to store them where I could actually enjoy them until I got this shadow box. It’s the perfect size to fit on your desk or nightstand so that you can keep all of your travel keepsakes without guilt!
