All-inclusive resort stay – June 2022
Girls’ Trip!
Pro tip: Planning a girls’ trip can be tricky – the more people involved, the trickier it becomes! In my experience, the most important part of planning is to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to give input (on the hotel, activities, flight dates/times, etc.) and that everyone is on the same page about what they are getting out of the trip (for example, are we relaxing at the beach or going on an adventure?).
For our girls’ trip, the four of us planned to stay at an all-inclusive resort where we would spend the vast majority of our time either at the pool or the beach, and we would go on a couple of small excursions to see Chichén Itzá and a nearby cenote.

The Hotel
We decided to stay at Royalton CHIC Cancun, an all-inclusive, adults only resort right on the beach. There were several factors that contributed to our decision:
- They were one of the few resorts that would allow 4 occupants within a single, large suite (we booked the Luxury Junior Suite)
- They have a swim-up bar at the pool, which is right on the beach (check, check)
- They have 5+ restaurants on site included in the all-inclusive price, plus others at which you could pay extra to dine
- They offer transportation to and from the airport
- Did I mention adults only???
- They have a rooftop bar/lounge with themed parties and events – for those events, everyone at the resort is invited to participate (otherwise, you can pay to visit or it’s included in certain upgraded rates)
We did quite a bit of research before landing on this particular resort. Overall, we felt that it was a great choice. The staff was friendly, the proximity to the beach was amazing, and the food was great!
